Our Production
At DINDI, design and production live under one roof. We design and produce every model in Brazil, in our own atelier, with control over every stage, from the first sketch to the final finish. It is a process where craft and technology coexist, uniting handwork and technical precision.
Collage, a marquetry in acetate
Collage is DINDI's signature. It works like a kind of marquetry in acetate: different colors are joined by hand, through a range of techniques and finishes, to form a new pattern. Each combination creates depth, contrast, and a design that could not exist in a single sheet of color, sometimes as the protagonist, sometimes as a single precise accent.
More than an aesthetic device, collage is a differentiator of DINDI's DNA and production. Over time, we have developed more than thirty collage techniques. Which one we use depends on the type of collage and the complexity of the profile of the product we are making.
In natura
On some models, DINDI chooses an in natura finish. The intention is to give the product a voice and to set each piece apart, each with its own marks. Rather than seeking absolute control over the final result, we let the process imprint a unique personality on each frame. The deliberate absence of polishing across most of the piece preserves the marks of the making. Only the areas in contact with the skin receive special attention. The result completes itself with use, personal and untransferable.
Finished by hand
Each frame is cut, assembled, and finished by hand, in Italian cellulose acetate and Italian components. Different finishes can live together within a single piece, matte and polished, in natura and polished, revealing DINDI's way of making: an ode to the process of production. The hand polishing ensures a perfect fit and a natural settle, shaped for different facial anatomies and for a comfort that adapts to the face.
