Italian cellulose acetate

Every DINDI frame is made of Italian cellulose acetate and Italian components, a fine material of plant based origin. Unlike injected plastic, acetate is worked from sheet, cut and polished, offering deeper color, lasting shine, and great stability over time.

Why acetate, not injected plastic

Injected plastic is molded in series, designed for cost and volume. Cellulose acetate is another path: it allows depth of color, transparency, blends, and the handwork that defines the character of each piece. It is the material that makes collage possible, our signature, in which different colors are joined by hand.

Italian acetate and components

The acetate we use is Italian, alongside Italian components. It is the foundation of quality on which we build color, form, and finish.

How DINDI works the material

In our atelier, each frame is cut, assembled, and finished by hand. Different finishes can live together within a single piece: matte and polished, in natura and polished. It is a process where craft and technology coexist, and every detail reveals DINDI's way of making.
